Mr. Nikolas Iordanou

Project Manager

​MSc Maritime Policy – Cardiff University (UK)
BSc Maritime Studies – Frederick University (Cyprus)

Working at EMPOWERPATH on the subjects of Industry, Maritime & Marine, Tourism, Networking & Marketing Development, International Relations, Research & Innovation, European Programs and Economic Policy. Worked for 12 years as the Head of the Department of Research, Innovation and EU Programs of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in other various matters concerns the development, the branding of Limassol and its entrepreneurial environment and further to the empowerment of the entrepreneurship/innovation ecosystem. He was former Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus University of Technology appointed by the Minister’s Council of the Cyprus government and he is member of the Advisory Board of ARIS Accelerator under the umbrella of Deloitte Ltd. He is supporter of Youngship Cyprus, and former Vice President of the Junior Chamber Limassol.

EU Projects participation and experience:
• European Program: Certification of Training onboard Sea, titled as “Pilot Program Training on Ships”.
• One month travelling on container vessel to various ports (Ashdod, Haifa, Salerno, Liverpool, Dublin, Antwerp, Hamburg, Tunis). Participated as group leader and prepare the research for all the shipping activities and practices. Leonardo Da Vinci.
• European Program: “Germany & Contribution to the EU”. One month program in Germany studied the sectors of: Political system, History, Economy, Culture. Participated as group leader and completed with success the research. Leonardo Da Vinci.
• European Program: Three years Project Officer of a significant project focuses in the efficiency of Energy Consumption in Industries, titled, “Promoting Industrial Energy Efficiency”. IEE Intelligent Energy Europe

Mrs. Lido Hadjiloizou

Expert

Lido is a distinguished lawyer with a comprehensive legal background, serving as an important expert at EMPOWERPATH in Cyprus. A member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2004, her academic credentials include a Law degree and a Master of Laws from the University of Bristol, UK. Further enhancing her legal expertise, Lito obtained her Barrister-at-Law from the Inns of Court School of Law in England and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Skills from City University London. She is also a proud member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. Lito brings extensive experience to her role, excelling in courtroom hearings as well as out-of-court dispute resolution. Her areas of specialization encompass Family Law, Tort Law, Commercial Law, and Employment Law, making her a versatile and skilled practitioner in the legal field.

Mr. Viktoras Iordanou

Project Manager

A Mechanical and Energy Engineer with multiyear experience in Academic and European Projects in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, VET, Capacity Building, Energy and Energy Management, Blue growth, Sustainable Development, Environment, Sustainable and Green Mobility and Renewable Energy Sources. He holds an Engineering Diploma from the Mechanical Engineering Polytechnic School of the University of Western Macedonia, where he worked on several projects that dealt with Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Trainings, Energy Saving technologies and applications. He is member of YoungShip Cyprus and he was a former President of the Junior Chamber Limassol and Vice President of Junior Chamber Cyprus.

Viktoras Iordanou is a dynamic professional with a proven track record in driving research excellence and project management. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, he has successfully prepared and submitted competitive research proposals, grant applications, and tender submissions that have secured valuable funding for various initiatives. Viktoras has demonstrated his adeptness in managing complex EU-funded projects by efficiently overseeing activities, resources, and deadlines, ensuring the seamless execution of projects from inception to completion. His comprehensive skill set encompasses conducting thorough literature reviews, performing rigorous research, and employing robust data analysis techniques, all of which contribute to his exceptional report writing capabilities.

Ms. Maria Koumparou

Expert

Maria Koumparou is a Cypriot individual with a strong academic background and expertise in social research and criminology. She holds an MSc in Social Research from the University of Edinburgh (2017-2018) and a BSc in Criminology from the University of Surrey (2014-2017).

She has more than 5 years of EU Projects experience and tasks relevant to them such as:
• Development and monitoring proposals’ preparation procedures, through EU and National programs (calls research and review, organization and support of the proposals’ development team, monitoring of the development process for the effective preparation and submission of the proposals).
• Management of EU and National funded projects (Erasmus+, JUSTICE, ΙδΕΚ).
• Development of competitive project proposals under EU and National programs.
• Conducting research for educational materials, electronic tools, e-learning platforms, and methodologies.
• Facilitating training activities and workshops in Cyprus and abroad.

In addition to her academic achievements, Maria is equipped with digital skills encompassing Microsoft Office, Google Drive, social media, Outlook, Skype, and data science capabilities like data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization. She has received notable recognition for her work, including the 1st award in the Pancyprian research competition on the Holocaust and the Greek-Jewish community of Thessaloniki, bestowed by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture in 2014. Demonstrating her commitment to giving back, Maria has actively engaged in volunteering endeavors. She has been involved in the Human Library organization and contributed to the Financial Wellbeing Institute as a founding member and Board of Directors member.

Mr. Andreas Christodoulou

Expert

Andreas Christodoulou is an accomplished professional with a strong background in inclusive education and special needs support. His career spans various roles aimed at promoting the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in educational and social settings. His dedication to inclusion is evident through his involvement in teacher training, counseling, and intervention programs.

His experience as a Learning Supporter and Special Education Consultant further underlines his commitment to personalized education, with a focus on developmental goals and tailored interventions. Additionally, his involvement in organizations like the Down Syndrome Association, Autism Association, and ADHD Association demonstrates his advocacy for inclusive practices beyond school settings.

Andreas has also actively contributed to the field through presentations, memberships, and advisory roles. His engagement with various associations and committees underscores his dedication to advancing policies and practices that support individuals with disabilities. From his work in Greece teaching marginalized communities to his commitment to global internet governance and human rights, Andreas Christodoulou has left a significant impact on the promotion of inclusive education and holistic support for individuals with special needs.
